TLDR: Vicious Syndicate believes the solitaire meta is just an illusion and won't last. Nerfs are not needed at all right now, and any nerfs are likely to cause bigger meta issues.

I was super hyped to go in and play hearthstone, the expansion had just launched and I couldn't wait to see what free quest i would get. they are all awesome in my opinion and I just wanted to build a deck around them
I got in, no free quest. i played back in Saviors of Uldum, and back then we all got a free quest. why don't we get one this time?

I'm quite dissapointed.

Key points:

Meta is still developing and has no clear problematic decks, so early nerfs are probably not needed.
Still, Team 5 might want to do nerfs now rather than having to wait a whole month. But any nerfs must be carefully considered because the current meta had s delicate balance. Upsetting this balance could lead to something like the Evolve Shaman domination earlier this year (bad).
If nerfs have to happen, multiple classes will need nerfs to avoid the scenario above: Mage, sure, but also Paladin, Rogue, Shaman, Hunter, Warlock, and Demon Hunter.

Whenever a discussion comes up about OTK, people always defend it by going "look at the winrate," but that still doesn't take away how frustrating it is to play perfect all game long, having answers to everything they're playing while applying as much pressure as possible, but still losing in a single turn with full health and a board full of minions.

Whether it's fully consistent or not doesn't matter when playing against it; it's the fact that you know it's coming but can literally do nothing about it and die with 30+ health anyways.

I'm not saying every OTK deck needs to go away, but people defending them need to realize that people want them gone because it's the most frustrating thing to experience in the game and makes you wonder why you even bother playing when you can't do anything to stop it.
