    A (hopefully) complete list of everything we know about the upcoming Mercenaries Mode

    I'm still hyped about the mode an currently bored, so I thought I'd make this nice list. Everything I name here will come with a source. Feel free to add something

    The most important Informations:

    -They have been working for over year on the mode and it was supposed to release in the last Expansion

    -The mode will launch in this Expansion

    -The map is randomly generated and includes combat and non-combat encounters

    -You can either Play in PvE (normal or heroic) or pvp. You can play whichever you want without having to touch the other

    - Each Mercenarie will have multiple cooldown based attacks and either plays a support, dps or tank role.

    - the mode will feature an unique combat system

    1. You choose your Mercenaries from the team
    2. [Then you deploy them in an interested way (I belive it was from an Q&A, but I can't find the Source anymore)]
    3. You and your opponent choose the attacks and targets
    4. Every Mercenarie will use the chosen attack at the same time

    Rewards are Permanent. Those Include:

    • Xp for the Mercenaries
    • Equipable items

    - You can build your own Village

    - There will be more than 50 Mercenaries at launch

    -Confirmed Mercenaries are: Kurtrus Ashfallen, Guff Runetotem, Tavish Stormpike, Varden Dawngrasp, Cariel Roame, Tamsin Roame, Xyrella, Scabbs Cutterbutter, Bru'kan, Rokara, Valeera,Rexxar, Ragnaros, Illidan, Eudora, Tirion, Thrall, Vol'jin, King Crush, Ragnaros,Gruul,Sylvanas and Grommash

    -Confirmed Bosses Are: King Mukla, King Crush, Jaina and the Lich King

    Background:

    Mercenaries will be a premier gamemode like constructed or battlegrounds

    Gameplay:

    1. The Mercenaries are like having three heroes in normal Hearthstone
    2. The Mercenaries have abilities and you can use them to create powerfull combos
    3. the mode will have an non-linear map with combat and non-combat encounters
    4. You keep the progression between runs
    5. the mode won't use your collection
    6. The mode will feature a single and multiplayer mode
    7. Confirmed Mercenaries: Ragnaros, Illidan, Tirion, 10 Forged in the Barrens Mercenaries

    1. each mercenarie has unique abilities
    2. winning grants you loot and xp
    3. Mercenaries transform after X levels
    4. fast paced combat
      1. first players select the mercenaries from their team
      2. each turn they pick an attack
      3. then the attacks of both players will be used simultaneously
    5. Encounters are randomly generated
    6. Mercenaries will have its own Achivements
    7. You can fight against other players

    background:

    1. they started working on it 18(now 21) Months ago
    2. the mode started out as an 2v2 mode
    3. they are working on the Mercenaries mode for 11 (now 14) months
    4. The merc team has 15 devs, including the dungoen run creator
    5. the mode will have an light narrative
    6. they announced the mode at blizzconline to show everyone that Hearthstone is doing more than just releasing 3 Expansions per year.

    gameplay:

    1. random levels
    2. combat and non combat encounters
    3. each run will end with a boss
    4. confirmed bosses are: King Mukla, King Crush, Jaina, the Lich king
    5. The Mercenaries and their abilities can level independently
    6. enemies can drop equipment
    7. the max level could be level 30
    8. the endgame is about finding builds and synergies for the hard levels
    9. there will be a heroic pve mode
    10. the mode will involve level grinding
    11. the endgame is about figuering out how to counter a certain boss
    12. You can see what the enemies will use in the pve version, but not for the pvp fights
    13. this results in pve having puzzle and pvp having mindgame elements

    1. Confirmed Mercenaries: Sylvanas, Gruul, Thrall
    2. The mode will use Cooldowns instead of Mana
    3. Example abilities could be a classic attack or a dragon breath that either deals damage or heals
    4. the mode will be really deep

    From a Techpulse Interview:

    1. there will be around 40 Mercenaries at launch (outdated, see the Survey source)
    2. Equipment will enhance the abilities
    3. pvp will be optional

    Background

    1. Confirmation that Mercenaries was originally planned for the Darkmoon Faire Expansion
    2. they are still "super early in development (Note that this is a direct contradiction to the statement that they are working on the mode for over a year now)
    3. there will be a leaderboard
    4. On of their Goals was to have a better progression System than Battlegrounds (which they are also looking into)

    Gameplay:

    1. Mercenaries will still have cards

    4. You can see your seed (which indicates that you can manually set it)
    5. There will be ways to interact with your deck (on player has a card in it)
    6. Each level will impact atleast one stat
    7. Mercenaries have no cost
