You’re an asshole if you rope every turn. Posted: 10 Dec 2020 07:11 AM PST Seriously, if you rope every turn to because you want to you're an asshole. I understand that with the new system you get xp for time played but you're ruining it for other players. A game that should of taken me 10 minutes to play at the ma took 25 because my opponent wanted to rope every turn for NO REASON! You guys need to get your big boy undies on and get over it. Edit: To clarify.. my opponent had taken their turn, used all their mana and done all their actions. They're just roping to be doing it, not because they're thinking. [link] [comments]

[Rant] Reward Track is one thing, but the current meta is what's killing my interest right now Posted: 10 Dec 2020 05:31 AM PST Aggro hunter aggro/soul DH, libram/broom paladin and evolve shaman. I like playing control/midrange decks, but frankly nothing seems to work: Can't punish with AoE because the board just gets flooded next turn again. Can't play Taunts either, they break like twigs and you still take bunch of dmg. Can't even run them dry, because Skull of Gul'dan & Voracious Reader exists. Meanwhile control decks are left with very limited (if any) form of card draw. You'd think Paladin is more fair, but getting infinite 0 mana Librams of Wisdoms wears out any form of control rather easily. Even if you manage to neutralize Librams via silence/polymorph, Lady Liadrin shows up and ruins your day. I'm sure there are decks that fare well vs meta tyrants (DH or non-DHs), but right now aggro decks feel even more oppressive than MSoG era Pirate Warrior. If I can't play the type of decks I enjoy, I'd rather not play at all. I sat out for 1.5 years (stopped playing around the time when Boom Control Warrior was a thing), stopped by around the time Scholomancer was announced and now I'm again wondering if I should just stop or keep going. I'm still holding out on mini-expansion and cards that "shake up the meta", but if that turns out to be another dud, I'm probably dumping HS for good this time. Tl;DR: Meta sucks and I can't find a single deck that I'd want to play. [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Dec 2020 12:21 PM PST The dust system in HS is ridiculous. Here's how I would change it to make it fair. This is the system now: _If you dust a Legendary you get 400 dust so 1/4 of 1600 _If you dust an Epic you get 100 dust so 1/4 of 400 _If you dust a Rare you get 20 dust so 1/5 of 100 _If you dust a Common you get 5 dust so 1/8 of 40 . This is how the system should be: _Legendaries cost 800 dust and if you dust them you get 400 _Epics cost 200 dust and if you dust them you get 100 _Rares cost 100 dust and if you dust them you get 25 _Commons cost 40 dust and if you dust them you get 10 . This way you need only 2 legendaries to craft one instead of 4 and for example you need 80 commons to craft 1 legendary instead of 320! [link] [comments]

Aren't Shaman class themes anti-synergistic? Posted: 10 Dec 2020 01:04 PM PST The class feels like a jumble of different mechanics that werent really planned out and are now kept because people liked them in a vacuum, but it doesnt feel like it comes together into a coherent class? Overload is an alright mechanic, though it was over costed at first. High tempo turns followed by low tempo ones. Overload minions in particular synergize with Copy effects (of which we've had a couple) Resurrect effects (currently we have 2) and Summoning effects (currently none I believe?) You know what it doesn't synergize with? Evolve. Powerful overload minions turn into weak trash. I'm honestly not sure why this mechanic exists in shaman to be honest, their minions never really supported it until they started printing some recently (Pit Master, Mogu) and Shaman in Warcraft were never really known for transforming creatures. There's a reason why whenever Evolve decks pop up they're always packed full of neutral minions. The mechanic is powerful and pretty fun, I'm just unsure why it is in Shaman. Moving away from those; Totems (and minion swarming). We have bloodlust in our core set and we create minions with our hero power, plus our totems buff our minions. Then why do all of our AoE effects outside of the core Thunderstorm destroy all of our totems and other minions? Its become such a normal thing that it's not even thought about anymore, but we always destroy all of our own created minions with all of our cards. Theres a reason Paladin doesnt AoE it's own board; it's because they naturally create small things and it goes against their theme to kill them all off all the time. Warlock and Warrior hit their own things all the time because they dont care; but warrior gains bonuses from taking damage and even Warlock has been getting demon-excluding AoE, it's odd that we don't have totem-excluding AoE or just stuff that hits only the enemy board. Last thing; as a Class with a class theme of having really weak defenseless minions (totems) with powerful persistent effects, you would think we would also have a way to defend those precious minions. Maybe some Taunt? But that is quite rare in our core set too, especially totem synergizing Taunt, which is what you would expect to need to protect 0 attack minions. Sorry, that started to turn into a bit of a rant. It seems like for most decks only a small subset of Shaman cards are useful and the others are actively detracting from your gameplan. And now Blizz has decided that the only way Totem shaman will work is by buffing the totems themselves and punching people with them; they arent exactly support minions anymore. Posted: 10 Dec 2020 05:06 AM PST Every single ladder match is face decks and aggro. Got demon Hunter who can get 15 damage in one attack, summon a 6/6 and clear your board, shaman who deals 8 damage, summons tokens and turns them into high cost minions and warrior, who can stall the game out then instantly kill you with an uncounterable combo The game has gone from several repeatedly great metas back to degenerate boring aggro bullshit and blizzard hasn't even mentioned a balance patch yet. For the love of god blizzard, do something! Because the game is so unfun currently. It's practically unplayable Edit : It was wrong to group them all as aggro, I'm meaning decks that just purely go face and your interaction on the game is minimal. [link] [comments]
Why has Blizzard not implemented things associated with other battle pass systems? Posted: 10 Dec 2020 05:10 AM PST Looking at you double/triple xp weekends. Or complete a quest, instantly pop another one weekends. They said there would be events, but with the recent rework that is suppose to hit soon. I'm curious how something meaningful to a battle pass system is overlooked. Do players feel like that wouldn't be something they are interested in? [link] [comments] |
