There is no mention of this any where from blizzard? I visit the shop frequently and noticed that they dropped the price by $10. Is this a mistake?

Let's discuss how to better social interactions between random opponents in the Year of the Phoenix

    Posted: 05 Jun 2020 11:39 AM PDT

    Greetings Hearthstone Community!

I wanted to address and hopefully have some discussion around a topic that comes up every so often within the community, and that is the topic of toxicity when it comes to adding people as friends post-match.

Over my last 4-5 years playing Hearthstone, I have tried adding people after a match primarily to laugh about a big misplay I made or compliment their awesome deck choice/get the code for it. 95% of the time...they do not accept that friend invitation, and we all know why. People post on this Subreddit with screenshots of their less than savory experiences and toxic chat logs from their opponents. I understand that this game is tilting if you play in large quantities, but there is no excuse to flame your opponent for playing a good deck that you just happen to face over and over.

My question and solution I want to propose today is: how do we attempt to further the social interactions in Hearthstone between strangers to add a bigger sense of community (outside of Reddit channels) WHILE also curbing the toxicity. Here is my proposition:

We know Achievements are coming to Hearthstone later this year. Concurrently with this roll-out, I suggest we add a new feature that will kill two birds with one stone.

Emblems of Valor/Emblems of Conquest: This would be a new sort of currency that would work as follows:

    • Players would receive 3 of each Valor/Conquest a month to give to other players after a match. 6 total per month that disappear if you do not use them. Use it or lose it!
    • Valor would signify that you really enjoyed the opponent's deck. Probably given to players playing creative decks that you haven't come across much.
    • Conquest would signify that you applauded how they played, how crazy the game was, and generally how much you appreciated the game of Hearthstone that you just played.
    • Emblems would reward the receiving player: 5 gold and can ONLY be given to your most recent opponent via random matchmaking. No friendly games. Hopefully this would curb any kind of exploitation. Blizzard could also cap how much gold you could receive per month via this method to balance it.
    • Introduce achievements associated with Emblems of Valor/Conquest like:
    • "I fight with Honor!" - Receive 100 Emblems of Conquest. Reward: New Uther skin

With this new idea, hopefully we could start encouraging open conversation that isn't necessarily toxic. If you receive an emblem, maybe you would be more inclined to accept a friend request that followed the gift. Will players abuse this, give you a token in hopes you will accept to flame you? Absolutely. But now, you get to leave the interaction with 5 gold and an emblem....so you really won in the situation versus the toxic player having the "last word" so-to-speak.

This is just an idea to get the ball rolling but I think it would add a lot with minimal investment by the developers. Anyone have any other ideas or ways to improve what I just suggested?

    Thanks for reading!

Hey Blizzard, why not make wild adventures purchasable with gold?

    Posted: 05 Jun 2020 05:56 AM PDT

I am playing since launch. Getting those adventures with gold can help me play wild. I could get them if I knew they were going to get unpurchasable using gold from in-game shop. I am a f2p player and 20 euros is a lot for me in my local currency.
