    [[Veranus]] > [[Zephrys the Great]] > [[Whirlwind]] would leave 3/1 and 7/5 on an otherwise empty board and put purple in a favoured position to win the game. Instead he obviously chose the brawl which even in a best case scenario leaves him with 3/2 and allows him to get a hero power in (with Brann gone)

    You can't blame Purple for the mistake, because it would've been one of the most nerve-wracking moves of his career, but I'm honestly amazed that both casters and the player have missed an almost strictly better move.

    But Zepega?!

    Yes Zepega but from this list of possible zephyrs outcomes, you can almost guarantee that Zephrs would offer Whirlwind from the 1 mana options vs a wide board on 1 health

    BG gets pirates. Yay. What about the other game mode? When is the next rotation? What is going to be done about the problematic cards plaguing Arena? Have they completely forgotten Arena exists? Isn't there a single fucking person in charge of Arena?

    You have a team of people who are obviously skilled enough to work for one of the most successful gaming companies ever. So why are they acting deaf, dumb and blind? It's not like it's a small company trying to make 10 different game modes work. The game has 3 fucking game modes. 3! I know Arena is not the most popular mode around, but for fuck's sake, have some respect for the players who still play it.

    Context: casual player since TGT, love watching competitive HS, addicted to the game.

    Goal: Get someone at Blizzard to read this, just to fuel some convos :-)

    1. The overall structure of the season was great, as it felt like it was a regular progression, with every week still mattering from a result standpoint. It will be I think even more true for next season, especially during the first phase (week 1-3), as we have seen that being part of div A or B matters a ton from a relegation standpoint. And topping things off with single elimination at the end was super cool to watch!!!
    2. Mixing formats during the weeks could be cool. I am not definitive on the matter (didn't really enjoy the 'bring 10 ban 6'), but between conquest, specialist, conquest shield, 'pick one ban one', etc. there are plenty of options. (by the way if they go with pick one ban one, and they do this live on stream that would be neat!)
    3. There needs to be better support to follow the whole tournament = I am mainly criticizing the website/schedule pages for that. Especially this week end, EXTREMELY difficult to follow what is going on if you are not looking at some of the result screens they have on broadcast. And tough to catch those one-off screens when this is a 15h broadcast across 3 regions...
    4. Overall I felt like it was great casting, especially for those extended periods of time. Yes, it was not 100% perfect, but really impressed with the end result.
    5. An un-stale meta is what makes this competition enjoyable week over week. Thanks to releases, nerfs, buffs, etc, especially during the first half of the competition, it felt like each week was really different. And as a viewer, this is much better. I can understand the other side, where you need more time to perfect your gameplay, but watching 3 days of the same mirror each week end is less appealing for the masses.
    6. Big RNG cards are not the way to go (looking at you puzzle box). Seeing a decisive match (Silvername's final I think) being decided by a crazy RNG card like this on turn 5 (coin dragoncaster) is not positive. Especially when, as an esport org, you build a fan-base for the players and respect for everything they have accomplished: seeing this does not feel great. There always will be RNG in HS (card draw, discovers, etc.) but you can somewhat drive it. The level of swing from a box is IMO not appropriate for high stake tournaments.
    7. Big names are out, and even if it is sad to see all the relegations, knowing that new faces will come up is refreshing too!
      1. Side note: Having only 8 spots to Worlds, with 6 coming out of GM seems insane. 6 qualified from GM seems the right amount. But there should be 12 or 16 spots total. I liked in the past when you had direct qualifiers for Worlds. Maybe you have one tournament with all the masters tours finalists (top 4?) and they fight for the final spots...
      2. Side note 2: It feels like accessing GM is very difficult (which is the point), but more importantly it feels extremely delayed as a reward... with only 2 seasons a year, you get your reward 6 to 8 months later... weird.
    8. Youtube was ok. Still felt like twitch was a better platform (with drops for example), but the experience was not disastrous.

    Advice for people creating a second account or speedrunning

    For those of you who want to start a new account for whatever reason, or want to see how fast you can reach legend or whatever, there's a fast way to unlock all the classes. Instead of fighting all nine classes one by one, you can instead complete the ashes of Outland prologue, and for some reason, the game gives you all the classes once you beat the prologue. If you are a new player, I recommend fighting the nine classes, as you learn the game better, but for those of you who want speed, go for demon hunter and unlock all the classes at once.
