    HearthStone Reddit Meta Report

    Hey all, u/iscera back again today to talk about the current state of the HearthStone subreddit!

    These last few days we've seen a big increase in concept art posts but the rate of success these shitposts are experiencing is slowly dwindling as people are getting fed up with it, even suggesting a new subreddit named /r/hearthstoneart. Current prognoses are expecting more concept art posts to show up in the following days, and slowly taper off as the week progresses.

    After thinking that the "purple keyword text" posts were dying out, we've seen a small renaissance of it with a post featuring our favourite warrior taunt minion. A less successful one was a post featuring the druid "choose one" discover card. We're excited to see how many more posts will be able to show up on the subreddit the coming days, as these posts never fail to crack us up!

    The Alexstrasza-genre has seen a big decline in posts since they nerfed the card by not being able to give itself, but we're still seeing some attempts to revive the genre with posts like "Big oof" and "Brightwing"! Since it'll be much harder to achieve crazy shenanigans with Alexstrasza due to the nerf, we're expecting these posts to be much more successful now whenever they appear! So log in, and try to get that one, special moment to upload here on reddit!

    In Battleground news, we're seeing a varied and healthy mix of different posts, including an actual post discussing the game instead of sharing dumb shit, another post sharing the portrait bug, a post trying to get The Curator nerfed and an unfortunately unsuccessful attempt to show-case some extreme luck featuring the Gentle Megasaur!

    The main post of the week, however, goes to the never-disappointing first time hitting legendary by CapriCornelius! Congratulations, Cornelius! We hope you had a great party to follow up your monumental achievement!

    Honourable mentions go to the "I probably opened up 100 packs and decided to make it look as if I only opened 2, specifically getting the cards I was hoping to get - what are the odds huh?" post, an adorable doggo-post featuring Arfus and the ever-hilarious and definitely-safe-for-work "6969 battleground rating" post! We're excited to see what other kind of unique and funny posts to encounter in the coming days!

    Quick Survey: How many of you who play Hearthstone, have never played WoW?

    Interesting idea that I never thought about until the other day. I was speaking with a friend who is an avid hearthstone player, and he asked me, "Why does the loot hoarder say Mind if I roll NEED?" And it struck me that hes never played WoW, so he doesnt understand the joke there. Thats when I got the opportunity to explain to him the lore behind certain cards and how cards tie into one another and basically spent the next 6 hours explaining in depth the lore and history of WoW. It was really cool listening to his questions and being able to answer them, then hearing his audible excitement about learning about such things.

    So, I'd just like to know how many of you are in the same boat, where you've never played WoW but play hearthstone.

    And if you have any stories similar to mine, or really just any funny stories at all I'd love to hear them!
