    My favourite UiS card...

Trading a tradeable card on turn 1 feels really, really good

    Posted: 13 Aug 2021 10:40 AM PDT

Just wanted to express how wonderful it is to have a turn 1 option without a traditional 1-cost minion. Very satisfying!

I paid the same price for five fewer packs YESTERDAY! I'm feeling jebaited and a little underhanded...

    Posted: 13 Aug 2021 07:51 AM PDT

In case you didn’t know, blizzard made a golden pack ‘questline’ that is ‘completed’ after each purchase.

    Posted: 13 Aug 2021 12:36 PM PDT

The 10 golden pack + 1 golden legendary pack in the store? Purchasing it unlocks another one with the same price, but gives 5 more packs.

Purchasing the second pack unlocks the final one, $80, 30 golden packs and 2 golden legendaries.

I'm not gonna say anything, drop your thoughts in the comments lmao

I Hate the Quest Warlock vs. Mage Matchup

    Posted: 13 Aug 2021 04:18 AM PDT

For perspective - it's not because I always lose; if I don't screw up and overdraw the quest reward it's usually a free win (2x Spiced Bread baker, 2x Raise Dead (for more bread bakers), 2x Touch of the Nathrezeim, 2x Drain Soul, and Tamsin Roane).

But it is the single stupidest matchup I have played in a long time.

Warlock says: Let me play minions and damage myself and spend my own cards to kill my own minions to prevent my opponent from being able to spend cards.

Mage says: Let me spend cards to add minions to my hand so I can play minions and kill those minions with my own cards, so I can spend my own cards while preventing the Warlock from spending his cards.

It is just the single most backwards matchup in Hearthstone right now. Both sides want to waste their cards and draw through their decks as quickly as possible. Both sides want to ensure they don't play minions and that the board is empty so that their opponent can't waste cards. It's literally the opposite of everything Hearthstone has tried to be up until this point, and it can be frustrating to play Backwards Hearthstone.

Since this morning I cannot launch hearthstone. Keep getting redirected to playstore even though I have latest version and was playing last night. Anyone else having this issue on Android?

18-4 Quest Priest list at Diamond 3 currently

    Posted: 13 Aug 2021 10:29 AM PDT

If anyone is interested in making Quest Priest work in Standard, this is the best list I've come up with. And so far it's doing very well against everything that isn't Mage. It's consistent enough that I expect to hit Legend. I got to play Purified Shard twice (TWICE!!) during this short run.

Frankly, most of these wins came from eating Face Hunter alive. I've played 22 matches so far and 12 of them were Hunter. Didn't lose a single match against them.

Basically you sacrifice a lot of your late game removal and stats (like Nzoth and Soul Mirror) for consistent early curves and stabilization against aggro.

This list also heavily relies on the Desperate Prayer + Xyrella combo for comeback swing turns. To make this as consistent as possible, we ONLY run Holy Spells, and not even very many of those. Devout Dungeoneer and Cleric of An'She will consistently draw you your recovery combos as long as you plan a few turns ahead. On top of that, The Purified Shard may get patched into being a Holy Spell, so this will majorly up consistency in drawing it.

In the meantime, you'll be relying on cheap early game bodies to curve out your Quest and discover other spells that you'll need for your matchup. Panda and Entrapped Sorceress are great cards in this deck. Since Panda only discovers spells that you aren't running, she can consistently grab you removal that you might need, like a Holy Smite or Soul Mirror. Enchanted Sorceress is just a solid body that can curve into Apotheosis really well.

Scorpid is sort of overkill for the discover. You can run the neutral Taunt Quilboar that heals you if you want instead. I just personally like finding more resources.

In this list you pretty much never want to Mulligan away your Quest. Since we run so many early game 2, 3, and 4 mana cards, it's not difficult to curve out. And that discover on Turn 4/5 has straight up won me games, such as when I had a Desperate Prayer in hand and found the Xyrella off the discover.

The late game stuff is mainly to finish your Quest against slower decks and stabilize a little better. We run double Ogremancer because of Mages and Warlocks. Onyx Magescribe is a good reload and an excellent body to follow up with Apotheosis next turn.

And that's pretty much it. Your basic gameplan is to find Desperate + Xyrella against all aggro decks. If it's combo drop Ogremancer ASAP.

Hunter: Xyrella + Desperate ASAP, don't overextend into a Trampling Rhino

Warlock: Mulligan for Enchanted Sorceress and Ogremancer, if you can curve out minions from turn 2 you're in a good spot. You definitely want to get into your midgame as fast as possible here because you won't be winning the Quest. Try to discover spells that beef up stats like Elekk Mount.

Druid: Didn't face many Druids but I would mulligan for your curve and discover any removal that you can. If you can beef up stats on a 3 drop with something like Power Infusion, do that.

Priest: 9/10 they won't be running Quest. Play the long game until you get Purified Shard. If they're Shadow Priest, play it as if it were Face Hunter.

Rogue: There are several different routes you can go here. Xyrella + Desperate again proves vital to winning this match up. I mulligan for Devout Dungeoneers and Wandmakers here. If they're doing OTKs with Garrote, focus on your midgame and stats.

Shaman: Xyrella + Desperate, mulligan for your best stats on curve (Wandmaker, Enchanted Sorceress, Scorpid). If they have Doomhammer you better pray you draw Lightshower.

Demon Hunter: Didn't play any. Same rules as Face Hunter. If it's OTK you pretty much just lose, I would imagine. Play for stats if you can.

Paladin: I have no clue how to play against this deck effectively. The best luck that I've had is, of course, Xyrella + Desperate. Wait for them to overextend resources and then blow them up in a swing turn. This is going to be difficult, though, as they have a lot of reload on stats and bodies. Honestly, when I won I think it was because they bricked.

Mage:. Ogremancer. That's it. Just hard mulligan for Ogremancer and hope for the best. Throw away your Quest in mulligan here, you will never complete it and the discovers likely won't make a difference. If you're REALLY confident you can curve into turn 4 and then discover Ogremancer, I guess that could work.

Off Meta Decks to Try for United in Stormwind - Standard

    Posted: 13 Aug 2021 11:45 AM PDT

Hey Everyone! I am Rarran and I am back for United in Stormwind to bring you off meta decks!

Disclaimer: Most of these decks are not optimal or not gonna be the best deck to climb. This is to help people who want to try other decks to play that can win games in legend ranks. I will be using a rating system to help showcase the strength of the deck. 1 being the bad and 4 being great.

Also if you do like these decks, make sure you check out the youtube to be always have fun decks to play.

    Decks:

    Glide Questline Tower Demon Hunter:

    Youtube Video: https://youtu.be/KBbNlu03BFA

    Deck Code: AAECAea5AwT23QP39gON9wOZ+QMN2cYD+dUD8+MD9+gDwvED9fYDifcDivcDi/cDg58Etp8EtKAE7KAEAA==

Win Condition: Using the Questline, draw your deck out and kill them using weapons + spells to smack their face, followed by Jace Darkweaver for more damage. You can also win by using Glide and Watch Posts to ruin your opponents Questlines Reward or just ruin their hand. Rating: 2

    Fire Questline Mage:

    Youtube Video: https://youtu.be/_165nNceBz0

    Deck Code: AAECAf0EArb3A+j3Aw7BuAPHzgPNzgOk0QPQ7APR7AOn9wOu9wOy9wOz9wP0/AP8ngT9ngTonwQA

Win Condition: Finish the Questine, and using fire spells, Sanctum Chandler to draw, and PAPA DADDY TONY for a sweet 18 damage, kill your opponent. It is simple, effective and very good. Rating: 4

    Taunt Alignment Druid:

    Youtube Video: https://youtu.be/nq95JxPT7u4

    Deck Code: AAECAZICApXvA66fBA7ougPzuwObzgOs1APw1AOK4AOk4QPR4QPA7APJ9QPM+QOJnwTanwSgoAQA

Win Condition: Ramp and Hit Celestial Alignment. You then play a bunch of stats using Oracle of Elune with Big Minions. This deck is super cheesy but sometimes you just win the game just from raw stats. Rating: 2

    Questline Low Curve Priest:

    Youtube Video: https://youtu.be/T3s9yF_F1pc

    Deck Code: AAEBAa0GBMvNA/vRA932A4f3Aw2TugPezAPXzgPi3gP73wP44wOb6wOe6wP08QOG9wOI9wOtigSFnwQA

Win Condition: Using the Questline, you complete it and win :). This is a very low curve version of the deck, often feels that 8 mana cards are bad right now. Using Call of the Grave or Draconic Studies or Discover cards to find cards to complete your quest. Rating: 2

    Evolve Shaman:

    Youtube Video: https://youtu.be/7m5PPmZDRQE

    Deck Code: AAECAaoIApzOA4b6Aw7buAPduAOVzQPw1APc2wOp3gOq3gP36APj7gOk7wPB9gPj9gPA+QPG+QMA

Win Condition: Not sure if this deck counts as off meta but I do not see it enough on ladder. To win games, you jam stats, evolve your board and use Instructor Fireheart to get burn, if needed. Rating: 4

    Shuffle Garrote Rogue:

    Youtube Video: https://youtu.be/mwgMYre227U

    Deck Code: AAECAaIHCKTRA9nRA6vSA+LdA+rdA6H5A5GfBPefBAvHzgPf3QPl3QPn3QPx3QPz3QOo6wPT8wON9AOO9AP2nwQA

Win Condition: Shuffle Tickets, Garrotes into your deck, and draw them. Counterfeit Blade helps you get more damage and tickets. Rating: 2

    Control Shadow Priest:

    Youtube Video: https://youtu.be/4RwFgPuGlF4

    Deck Code: AAECAa0GCMi+A/vRA53YA/zeA8fhA/njA5/rA7v3AwvXzgPR0QP+2wPU3gPi3gPj3gP73wP44wOa6wOb6wPJ+QMA

Win Condition: Using minions to fight for board, corrupt stuff and hope the value alone to can win you the game. This is a very greedy deck for the meta. Rating: 1

    Questline GA Druid:

    Youtube Video: https://youtu.be/rrym4CPjPGE

    Deck Code: AAECAZICBLzQA6bvA6P2A66fBA3ougObzgOT0QPe0QPw1AOK4AOi4QOk4QPR4QPe7AOK7QPR9gO4oAQA

Win Condition: You either use your Questline to fight against aggro or you ramp and use GA to fight for board. Rating: 2

Hope you have fun with the lists and if you have your own let me have the deck code!

    You Look Fantastic!
