Anyone else disappointed there’s no solo content for Darkmoon Faire?

The Darkmoon Faire is a goldmine of flavor for Hearthstone. Toss the Old Gods into that and you've got an amazing combination. Players have been excited for a Darkmoon expansion for years now, just look at how many custom cards involve the Faire. I think that not including some kind of solo content is a massive miss for the design team. Perhaps the Dungeon Run wouldn't fit perfectly for the Faire, but there could still be solo content. Maybe a return to the Puzzle Labs style where rather than doing experiments you're playing faire games. I could assume the reason we didn't see any solo content for Darkmoon Faire is because the solo content team is working on Book of Heroes. I don't thing I speak for just myself when I say BoH has not been the best replacement for themed solo content for expansions.

    Next Expansion Theory

    Posted: 05 Feb 2021 10:59 AM PST

Information/Concepts are based on the "expansion theme post" and the blizzard pre-welcome presentation.

At first glance, as many said, this looks like Blizzard's umpteenth explorer expansion. However, from some ideas and observations, it might be something more.

The most obvious detail is that the area is arid and rugged, and people have suggested several possible regions (Barrens, Badlands, Mulgore, Durotar, etc.) However, the costumes that Liv and Glasses guy are wearing clearly suggest Safari or Adventure. This likely rules out Mulgore and Durotar. Thousand Needles was another suggestion, but with Darkmoon Races, that would be a lazy move...even for Bli$$ard. Same with Badlands/Uldum (Wild West likely isn't happening).

So...my theory is that it will be the Barrens...however, the terrain suggests that it is a very specific part of the Barrens.

I postulate that this spring, we're going to Warsong Gulch. This is my reasoning.

    1. The Devs are standing in front of a fence with an aesthetic that is clearly Orcish in Origin. This suggests a settlement. With the view, there is definitely elevation. This shot likely depicts a watchtower of some type. Warsong Gulch, a battleground, has Horde watchtowers to spot enemies.
    2. Hearthstone tends to "flesh out" areas in their artstyle and story. Although WoW's Warsong Gulch doesn't have rock features like the art, it is a rugged area. Moreover, this area is a classic battleground, so old WoW has its graphic limitations.
    3. Outfits tend not to give away the expansion. In expansion skits, the dev costumes tend to match the environment of the expansion they are promoting. Not the actual theme. For example, in descent of dragons, the dev wore standard cold-weather clothing rather than the fur coats of the characters in Northrend. Moreover, skits tend to go outside the theme sometimes (e.g. Outland was a Storage Wars parody). My guess is the devs are on a Safari in the Barrens (hence the outfits), and the Alliance-Horde conflict interrupts it.
    4. Lastly, the southern Barrens area is flat. Even though there are Horde settlements, the Barrens is a flat region. It is a Savannah...and not the Shattered Kind (for the crafters here). However, the Northern Barrens is rugged and contains rock formations. Northern Barrens is also where the Warsong gulch battleground is, and with Ashenvale nearby, expect night elves in the expansions as well.

Anyways, no shoe eating this time, but feel free to laugh if I'm wrong. I'll comment the links. Automod is being a pain with the link filter.
