    Hello r/hearthstone, 276th Brawl comes to an end, so let's have a discussion about it.

    This weeks Tavern Brawl was a repeat of Heroic Brawliseum, where we had an Arena-like structure with wins/loses with an addition that you needed to build a Standard 30 card deck from your collection. Once you queued in, you can't change your deck. At the end of the run you get a prize, which unlike Arena scale up significantly depending on how many wins you got. This Brawl has an entry fee of 1000 gold or $9.99 USD, no free pack this week.

    Tavern Brawl this week is... "Rise of the Zombeasts" (Sept. 30, 2020)

    Description: "It's a monstrous mirror match! Take control of a deck teeming with random Zombeasts and spells while using a discounted hero power to craft your undead army!"

    Chalkboard

    Format: Randomized / both sides play as Hunter (Deathstalker Rexxar to be exact). You get all kinds of Zombeasts and a few random Hunter spells; plus you start at 3 mana, and DK Rexxar's Hero Power is discounted to (0). Also also, each side has only 20 Health, so it usually pays to hit face early & often

    Reward: one Classic pack for your first win

    History: This is the third time we've seen this format; the last time was around this time last year, making it something of a Hallow's End / Halloween-season tradition.

    With the new patch I am seeing a lot of players quit immediately since they did not get to play a hero they wanted. In one game in particular 3 players were gone before making their first purchase and the Bigglesworth player received nothing from them since they had empty boards. Seems kinda unfair to him as his power is much worse now against the other heroes as he will receive a lot less loot overall.

    Maybe if a play dies or quits with no board the Bigglesworth hero should receive some coins to make up for it so he can buy a card of his choice. Or give him a random minion?

    Thickness of the rope?

    Has anyone ever had a really good arena game where you had lethal on board but accidentally pressed the concede button after adjusting settings?

    So anyway I'm wondering how thick a rope should be to be able to support the weight of a 70kg person without snapping?

    Yep thats right. Wizards has killed Magic The Gathering and as i heard alot about this game whilst playing MTG ive finally got round to giving it ago. Just finished the tutorial levels and seems pretty good. I have lots of MTG experiance but none on this so i was just wondering if people have any hints and tips, what i should know, what decks are good and how similar it is to MGT or do i need to learn a whole new set of play skills etc.

    Jaina Bundle was Bad, Uther Bundle is Good

    Alright folks there is a LOT of complaining about these bundles and some complaints are warranted and others are not.

    Jaina Bundle was indeed a bad deal. For 10 dollars you got 5 mage specific packs and the Hero Portrait that had no new voice lines, entry, or animation of hero power and board. For roughly 6-7 dollars you can get 5 packs for other all classes. So for an extra 3 dollars you get the new portrait and the mage specific brand.

    • Mage player only? Might be a good deal.
    • Don't play mage at all? Why Are you complaining anyways, you wouldn't buy it to begin with.
    • Play multiple classes? Might not be worth it unless your willing to shell out 3 extra dollars just for - Mage specific stuff.

    Uther Bundle is actually a fucking steal. For $25 you get 25 packs, a legendary, and the new portrait. 25 packs normally costs just over $35. So you actually SAVE money to buy the bundle, plus you get a free cosmetic item (even trimmed down) and a guaranteed legendary card.

    • Just want the hero portrait? Yeah that shits a bad deal, don't do it.
    • Just want the packs? It's a great deal, do it.
    • Don't want either? Buy my dinner with your extra monies.

    Conclusion (TLDR) :

    These hero portraits in my opinion are going to be what you should expect to see in the battle pass. I think these are not replacing full hero portrait sales, but a trimmed down version they can throw in a bundle to sweeten the deal. You shouldn't buy these bundles specifically for those portraits but for the packs. Maybe they could offer to sell just the portraits for ultra cheap. Would you buy the Jaina or Uther skins for 2-5 dollars? Maybe some would if they really like those classes.

    I will not pay £25 for your lazy ass hero portrait bundle that doesn't offer any cool voice lines or even an interesting tray. Please put your monetisation efforts on the cosmetics and not packs, because I'll be more than happy to buy clever and cool hero portraits to support more of them being created.

    I'll also like to thank the artist who made this portrait, you did an incredible job with it and it looks amazing, it's just a shame there isn't any cool voice lines that even make sense for it. Much love to you.
