[Week 247] Tavern Brawl end-of-week discussion (with Strawpoll!)

Hello r/hearthstone, 247th Brawl comes to an end, so let's have a discussion about it.

This weeks Tavern Brawl was a repeat of The Burndown - Rekindled, where you've been giving a semi-random deck at the start with a name meaning a theme of it and a number meaning the time between brawl launch and when the deck was first created. If you won, you kept playing your deck, after a loss - you copied your opponent's.

Did you enjoy it? Why or why not? Any memorable moments? Would you like to see a similar brawls in the future? Discuss below.

    Week 243 | Strawpoll (One Card №3)
Week 242 | Strawpoll (Lunar Blessings)

Tavern Brawl this week is... "Hall of Champions" (March 11, 2020)

    Posted: 11 Mar 2020 09:30 AM PDT

Description: "Which legendary Champions' decks grace these hallowed halls? Let's find out!"

    Chalkboard: https://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/File:Hall_of_Champions.jpg

Format: Prebuilt using decks that top-flight players (Firebat, Ostkaka, Pavel etc.) used to win or contend for HS world championships.

EDIT TO ADD: Some of these decks use the pre-nerf versions of relevant cards. For instance, in the Warlock deck used by Tom60229 the [[Dark Pact]] card restores 8 Health, not 4 as per its nerfed version. But I'm seeing in the comments, some decks use nerfed versions. (shrug emoji)

EDIT 2: Per comment by u/FrostedWarlock, you may also get the "Mercenaries14" variant of Pirate Warrior, which just crushed it last summer in the original version of The Burndown brawl

Reward: one Classic pack for your first win

History: This is the third time we've seen this format, with the most recent one taking place last April. Here's the Gamepedia article about this format: https://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Hall_of_Champions

    Good luck & have fun!

    Card Discussion Thread #846 - Luna's Pocket Galaxy | March 11th, 2020

    Posted: 11 Mar 2020 07:09 AM PDT

    Introduction

Hello and welcome to another Daily Card Discussion Thread.

The way this works is simple: Every day a random collectible card is selected for discussion. Post your thoughts on the card in the comments below. Discussion is not limited to competitive viability - feel free to talk about the art, sounds, animations or anything else you like.

As a reminder, at the bottom of each thread you can navigate to the previous discussion thread, as well as find a link to a list of all the discussion threads so far.

    ----

    So, it's been a while.

Our resident lorestalker and curator of these threads /u/Nemzal took a step back so we've not had these since late 2018. I've had half a mind to bring them back for a long time, and when /u/ainteverlucky and /u/pipantarctic expressed interest last week, I decided to just go for it.

The current plan is that these won't be daily or random; I'll choose the interesting/discussion-worthy cards and post them when I have some time. Probably at least once a week, but real life often gets in the way. Might depend on how these are received too, let's see.

    ----

Pavel's Shaman has a 5 mana barnes, when spirit claws cost 1 and hex cost 3. They are using the current barnes instead of the old one.
