    As our new Returning Player Experience went live along with the 17.0 update, we've found a few places where we think we can clarify the process and what you can expect.

    To expand upon the eligible time period, we've defined a returning player as one who had not logged into Hearthstone for four months as of March 17th, so your last login to Hearthstone needed to be before 11/18/2019 to qualify. If you logged in on or between 11/18/2019 to 3/17/2020, you would not qualify as a returning player and receive the Class Deck.

    If you're a returning player who has not logged in since before 11/18/2019, to earn your free deck

    • Log into Hearthstone and be presented with a new Legendary Quest line, which is made up of three total quests. In the first quest, you will face three bosses made specifically for the quest line. In the final two quests, you will play 30 cards then deal 100 damage to an enemy hero.

    • Upon completing the third and final quest, you will be able to select your free Class Deck once you return to the main menu.

    If you're a new player and have not completed the new player ranks,

    • Log into Hearthstone and complete the tutorial and the Starter Quest line

    • You will need to graduate from the New Player Ranks (Ranks 50-26)

    • Upon completing these quests, you will be able to select your free Class Deck once you return to the main menu.

    If you have played Hearthstone before, but either did not complete the tutorial or the New Player Ranks, you will need to do both before receiving the free Class Deck. Note that there's also a chance you'll see the Returning Player quests and need to complete those as well.

    As a final note, it is possible that you may not see the deck in your deck list if you did not have an open deck slot when you chose your free Class Deck. If this happens, don't worry! You will still receive all of the cards from that deck. If you would like to delete one of your existing decks, you can then navigate to this page and use our deck list. From here, copy the deck code, and you can then add the deck to your deck list from within Hearthstone.

    We hope this helps to clarify the experience for everyone! In addition, we are going to keep investigating any potential issues with the returning player decks, and we will provide updates as we learn anything new.

    EDIT 1: Quick update: the team has indeed identified an issue that we know is affecting some players. We're currently investigating the steps needed to fix it. I may not have an update again until tomorrow, but I'll let everyone know what to expect as soon as I know more.

    Whizbang, the Wonderful: If you play a game with one of his random decks you may still play with cards from the Hall of Fame.

    Living Roots: The Grand Tournament Druid card became an epic. It was common previously. (I suggest you do do not dust this card since they may punish players because of it)

    Kingsbane: The Kobolds and Catacombs legendary Rogue weapon breaks (Is destroyed) whenever you play it.

    Demon Hunter Hero Power: Apparently you can get the new Demon Hunter Hero Power from "Sir Finley of the Sands" (Saviours of Uldum Paladin Legendary)

    Freezing Trap: The Hunter Classic Secret makes "Dragonqueen Alextrasza" generated (0) cost dragons cost 0 instead of 2 when triggered. They should cost their original cost + (2)

    Rogue Cards: The Rogue Spell "Clever Disguise" is not working. It doesnt give any spells from other class. {Update: Not only rogue thief spells but also thief minions.}

    The Darkness: The Neutral Kobolds and Catacombs legendary minion is now called "Darkness Awaits", it is a 0 mana 0/0

    Arena Rewards: Apparently you can get the new basic priest cards from Arema rewards which these basic priest cards should be completely free for everyone.

    Invoke Cards are being Generated: The new Epic Priest card iz generating an Invoke card (Fate Weaver) which it's not supposed to do since the DoD invoke mechanics patch. Not only on the priest class but also in other card generators you may get cards with the invoke mechanics.

    The new free decks: New and returning players are confirming that they didnt received any of the supposed free decks Blizzard said they were going to receive today, 26th March.

    Illidian Stormrage: The Classic Set Illidian Stormrage Legendary is now named as "Xavius". Its not a bug!

    Druid Hero Power: Whenever you use your Hero Power has a Druid, the attack symbol is green. (Its not a bug).

    The New Demon Hunter Initiate Cards: Some people are reporting that they have access to the Initiate Cards from Demon Hunter if they got the second wing of Galakronds Awakening Solo Content.

    Hearthstone Daily Quests: Apparently, if you reroll a quest, you may get one saying for you to play 3 games with demon hunter and other 2 classes. This means you can only complete the quest with only 2 heroes.

    Practice Mode: You are able to play against Demon Hunter in AI mode.

    Rank: Some people can't see their rank when they go to the play mode.

    Practice Mode: Playing Curious Glimmerroot against Demon Hunter in Practice Mode makes the game crash.

    Deck codes: Deck codes are making completely different decks. And some of them aren't even making decks.

    Boomsday Puzzle Solo Content: The nerfed versions of cards like "Power Word: Shield" makes the puzzle completely impossible to solve. (Theres only 1 solution of the puzzle)

    Mana Bar: In mobile, in your opponent turn, you're shown his mana bar instead of yours.

    Managed to stay in over 50% of decks for almost the entirety of your existence in standard and avoided any sort of nerf or tweak the entire time.

    Sort of unprecedented really.

    I personally won't miss as I'm sick of seeing you but I feel you deserve some credit for this achievement all the same.

    Ok guys we get it; clever disguise is broken, ranked icons aren't showing, you can play training vs demon hunter, you can play HoF cards in Whizbang decks, Kingsbane is bugged and your dupe protection isn't working. Also, no you can't get 5 legendaries under dupe protection. Can we all stop posting about it now?

    Golden Illidan card replaced with a normal Xavius

    Obviously it is not the end of the world, hell normally I would not even care. But for me, Illidan was the first Golden Legendary I ever received and I liked having him in my collection.

    Sucks a bit that we didn't get the equivalent Xavius when he was reworked.

    I feel like this "early access to streamers" thing is just bad.

    It kills the big chunk of expansion hype for me. We already had a very small window of experimenting when an expansion is released because of decklists posted online and stuff, and now with the streamers' early access, that window is non-existent. It's really a fun little period of time when everyone build weird decks and try to figure things out for a few days but now it's like 1 hour at most before everyone switches to already established the "best" deck. And meta gets solved a lot faster too. I know i am still free to play whatever deck i want but it's no fun when no one else is doing it. And I know people will figure out the best deck no matter what but at least we used to have a few extra days before it's done.

    edit: to clarify, i am not saying this makes meta solved immediately, it accelerates the process for sure but my main concern is that it kills the time period where everyone, including streamers, experiment with decks. instead of everyone starting from scratch now everyone starts with refined deck lists which makes it really boring.

    As many people here and there i too have been wondering why the 18 decks limit. I haven't been able to find a stated reason as to why though. But with the 10th class been introduced is it not time for some more deck slots? Or at least 2 more?

    I would say it's only natural to have 2 deck slots "for each class" (meaning 1 standard and 1 wild deck for each class) even if people would use them differently.

    I may be blind, but didn't the patch notes yesterday say that the new Battlegrounds card Felfin Navigator was added to the pool? I have now played 11 rounds of BG and haven't seen the card once. Did it get added? Or is it just super rare? I don't know what's going on

    So I started playing again day 17 after the stream after more than a year without playing, I got the whole "welcome back missions" and everything. And the free deck today is nowhere to be seen, anyone else is having this problem? A friend of mine started playing just a couple hours later(still the 17) and got the same "welcome back" experience, but he did get the free deck. Where should i ask for help?

    PS: last post was deleted because I didn't put a flair, I hope this one works.
