I genuinely love Hearthstone.
Am I crazy, or did Chapter 3 have basically the same air-ship encounter three times?

Has anyone, ever, been able to make Immortal Prelate work? Ever? This card seems to have so much potential, but it just consistently loses games. If there's a deck out there that makes it sing, I would love to play it.

I love Hearthstone. I think it's a great game. I never fully understand the common grievances I see endlessly posted here. Going on five years, and I'm still just as excited to fire up the client as I ever have been. I think the meta has been remarkably more enjoyable in the past few months relative even to supposed "heights" of what the game offered around times such as the Old Gods era. This subreddit makes me feel like there must be something wrong with me. I eat constructed like goddamn candy. I can't get enough of it. I love tinkering with decks, interacting with the meta, trying to engage with it in both the most effective and the most novel ways. I don't care if any other major features ever get added to the game. I love the loop of constructed play. I think Blizzard struck the perfect balance for a digital card game. I mean they really knocked it out of the ballpark. It's always a decidedly/relatively simple card game (particularly when compared to something like Magic), but while always also having just the right touch of that important room for significant decision-making that separates the wheat from the chaff.

I think people who complain about things like Embiggen Druid are such goobers. All the deck archetypes are enjoyable, and people who "main" a particular style, or a particular class, are being goobers to themselves. So what if maybe you have to go in a somewhat more aggressive direction than you're used to because of some short term shift in the meta? I love heavy, slow, value-oriented control decks as much as the next "Timmy" - but you're really going to pretend as if something like Face Hunter isn't fun as well? That feeling of quickly overwhelming the opponent? The knowledge that they're at the edge of their seat praying for a solution to your onslaught? And even if you don't appreciate that, you can still go in a more novel/slower direction. I reached Legend last month using an updated variant of this Priest deck recently posted to competitivehs, and I had great success and fun with it. It works tremendously against Embiggen Druid. You even get to use oft-ignored cards like Murozond!

I've found good success with various deck types recently, and they've all been a blast to pilot. I've recently started using Quest Hunter for the first time, for example. Finally crafted a Boommaster Flark even though it's rotating soon. God I love it. I've had success and fun with Token Druid, Galakrond Priest, various styles of Hand/Control Warlock. Aggressive decks, midrange decks, control decks, combo decks! There's so much you're able to do in constructed.

I have no idea why I'm posting this. I guess because I'm day drunk on my day off from work. I do know that I'm often a bit confounded at the weird cynicism that often goes on here in the subreddit, and I suppose I just wanted to offer a little positivity. I think Hearthstone is just fucking stellar. I think if you don't find it stellar, you should take a break from the game! Maybe try a new card game. I hear great things about Runeterra, for example. Or maybe you just need to go out of your comfort zone and try some new types of decks! I know how it feels to be tunnel-visioned about only involving yourself with one playstyle. For the first year I played Hearthstone I was a complete control snob. But other deck archetypes are so fun!

Anyways. This is a very silly post lol. Sorry.

Across the six new encounters, three of them felt very similar. Basically felt like I had to do the Karazhan chess encounter for half of the new content. Very similar (if not literally the same) decks and hero powers. Pretty disappointing.
