    Hearthstone 16.2.3 Update

    16.2.3 Update

    Posted: 06 Feb 2020 01:32 PM PST

    Hey Friends,

Just a short time ago, we started rolling out a small client update that addresses the following issues:

    • Fixed an issue where de-syncing (a discrepancy between what the client shows vs. what is actually occurring on the server) would sometimes occur when Soul Juggler was dealing damage or when Deathrattles spawned minions in Battlegrounds.
    • Art for Heroes + Hero Powers will now properly populate on mobile devices when the optional data download is paused.
    • When the Air Raid Twinspell is played, the copy generated will now be the correct rarity.
    • Risky Skipper is now a Pirate minion type, as originally intended.
    • Spin 'em Up and Small Repairs will no longer have their mana cost displayed in red when generated from Keeper Stalladris.

Please keep us updated if you encounter any new issues! Much love friendos <3

    Cheers,
    Chris_Attalus

UPDATE: For those wondering, here are some things shipping in the upcoming 16.4 patch:

    • Arena Rotation
    • Fix for the combat / recruit bug in Battlegrounds
    • Animation speed-ups for minion triggers, as mentioned here

What your opponents card back tells you about their inner being.

    Posted: 06 Feb 2020 03:32 AM PST

    1. Classic

Your opponent is reserved, experienced, and efficient. There will be no fun had here today. There is no time for fun. There is no time for superfluous decoration. They have every other card back in the game, along with 30,000 gold reserved from Arena rewards, but this is all incidental and unnecessary. On another window they have opened an excel sheet that perfectly displays why all you ever need is a basic Zoolock deck. Why would you waste time opening packs? It dates their Zoolock winrate going back five years. They have written twelve separate /r/Hearthstone exposes on why the card art style has gotten too "Pixar" over the years.

    2. Legend

Your opponent has played Hearthstone for five years, but only managed to reach Legend two months ago. They now remain forever tethered to the rank 5 floor. They want you to know that they're serious business, however, and bad news for you. You must be made aware that they're only stuck here in the doldrums with you by choice, and that they could totally get into the tournament scene if they felt like it.

    3. Pristine Scenes

Your opponent desperately wishes they had the Pandaria and Black Temple cardbacks.

    4. Pandaria

Your opponent is the aforementioned Classic cardback player after they've had two beers. They're feeling a little zesty today, and have decided to fancy things up a bit. It's okay to have a little fun. They have just opened another excel sheet which perfectly displays why all you ever really need is a basic midrange Hunter deck.

    5. Mark of Hakkar

Your opponent exclusively plays decks found on HSReplay two weeks after they've been abandoned by a shifting meta. They pretend to be F2P on Reddit, but secretly have purchased the Welcome Bundle. They have never gone higher than rank 9. They have, on at least five separate occasions, asked "does anyone know of a good substitute for Malygos?" in regards to decks that specifically require Malygos as a matter of existence.

    6. Darnassus

Your opponent is literally roleplaying as a Druid.

    7. Exodar

Your opponent is literally roleplaying as a Mage.

    8. Pie

This is the first time your opponent has logged on to the game in two years. In one hour they will become another Mark of Hakkar player.

    9. Awesome Blossom

Your opponent paid for the Sylvannas hero portrait exclusively so they could match it with this cardback.

    10. Nefarian

Your opponent once spent a full month of effort towards defeating Blackrock Mountain on heroic back in 2015, and are still beaming with pride about this years later. Fortunately for them, they are blissfully ignorant of the fact that nobody realizes it isn't just another monthly card back.

    11. Dalaran Flame or Golden Celebration

Whoops! Your dumbass accidentally ranked up too fast, mostly thanks to an uncharacteristic streak of inexplicably good luck. You're rank 1 on the third day of the month, but you're about to start your quick descent back to rank 5. Your opponent is currently demoing a newly created off-meta incarnation of Plot Twist Warlock live on Twitch, and somehow, your dumbass manages to get demolished by it. Your opponent is currently mocking your in-match decision making to an audience of 1,200 unemployed high school students.

Playing some standard highlander rogue. Dragon's hoard -> Toki -> Reno Jackson. Opponent was not pleased.

I didn't see any patch notes, but Hearthstone just downloaded a 550ish Mb patch on PC. Any word on what it was for?
