Updates on issues after the 16.0 patch

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 02:26 PM PST

Quick updates on where a few of the outstanding issues are:

Sathrovarr: As a confirmation, Sathrovarr was absolutely not intended to become unplayable with the patch on Thursday. We know what caused this, and it's going to require us to put a fix in to the launch of Descent of Dragons next Tuesday. As of right now, we expect Sathrovarr to be back to normal on Tuesday.

Disenchanting Cards: Right now, some cards are showing a system error screen after trying to disenchant them. This is something we can fix on our side, and we're working to get that out today before the weekend.

[Hearthstone Battlegrounds] Rafaam's Hero Power: Last night, we resolved an issue where Rafaam's Hero Power wasn't properly allowing a golden upgrade until after buying something. This should be working normally as of right now.

Missing Cards / Deck Codes: We've seen a lot of varying reports of things with cards not working, and there are a few different things at play. We noted previously that as the "Treasures from the Tomb" wild event ended, decks containing the temporary wild cards are going to be unusable, but they may not clearly denote why. If a deck code isn't working, that's the first thing to check. Sathrovarr is also likely to cause some issues until we correct that next week. Finally, the team is currently investigating some reports that Treasures from the Tomb cards that were owned in a player's collection may have disappeared after the event ended. As a reminder, all cards from that event were granted as temporary event cards - they were never actually added to your collection, but simply lived there as separate, special versions of those cards, even if you already had them in your collection. Those event cards are now gone, but anything that was in your collection before the event should still be there. If it isn't, we'd appreciate more info on what cards you're missing to help us track this one down.

Maybe it's not the most important thing, but it's a small change I would like to see.

THEORY: The random award-giver is a bot

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 11:41 AM PST

I was recently refreshing this subreddit over and over again with it sorted by New posts. All of a sudden a new post appeared at the top that immediately had all 5 awards. How would this be possible for a human to do? You can't give awards to yourself before you post, correct?

Edit: Oh, awards so I'm right? Wait, no. I'm so confused.

Dodging the Echo nerf by being "repeatable this turn"

    Posted: 05 Dec 2019 07:32 PM PST

With the doom in the tomb event over, can we take a moment to debate how big of a gongshow that was?

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 11:29 AM PST

Slightly negative title, but I am genuinely wondering how the community feels overall, because I feel like that event was overall extremely negative. It had a horrible impact on the meta, and look at how confused the new player base is with the massive number of "where did all my legendary cards go" posts.

Personally I loved the rise of mechs event. Buffing cards was a great idea and I spent the majority of the last set pondering what cards from rhastakan rumble deserved a buff. Most of that set was super low impact and deserved buffing, but instead we got what I consider to have been a horrible event. New players are discouraged by taking a massive power loss when the cards are gone, veteran players had to endure an insane 40% shaman meta. Maybe I am just being negative but I REALLY would have preferred a similar event to the rise of mechs over this. If not for battlegrounds, hearthstone would have been in a horrible spot for the duration of the event.

Thoughts? Did anyone thoroughly enjoy that event that wants to shed some light on their opinions?

Tl;dr: card buffs good, temporarily dropping all the busted wild cards into standard bad.

Guess nobody else is going to have fun this round

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 12:00 PM PST

I really like how blizzard is managing their game right now.

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 02:08 AM PST

Battlegrounds is so fun again because of the changed dynamics,

The expansion hype is one of the biggest ive seen these past years.

Sn1p Sn4p warlock was nerfed in the best way possible.

We are getting Tyrande back for free!

A lot of new help for F2P players.

    Old styled adventures

Wild packs returning to the shop.

These are really good changes that should have been made a while ago but glad now they are doing things the right way! My friends are now starting to play this game again.

Thank you blizzard, thanks a lot for finally giving us what we need. Every work you do is appreciated.

Whizbang now only gives you an OG zoolock deck

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 10:23 AM PST

After noticing the new premade decks in the deck creator I decided to give Whizbang a spin in casual just in case it bugged out and let me play them. Turns out it's bugged out in the other direction (at least for me) and only loads up an OG zoolock deck (I.e. basic and classic set only).

I played the first couple of games then queued and conceded 10 in a row after, same thing each time.

Anyone else able to test this?

Edit: also loaded into a ranked game, same thing. Not doing that any more

Dawn of Desolation - A complete 135 card custom expansion! (Newly Revamped!)

    Posted: 06 Dec 2019 08:14 AM PST

With just a few days before the Descent of Dragons I would like to show you all my alternate take on this year's third expansion!

Based in an alternate universe to our own in which the Hearthstone team went in the direction of the old gods instead of Galakrond. Lazul betrays the League of EVIL and continues in her quest to resurrect the Old Gods, C'Thun in particular.

The set includes 135 cards in the same distribution as past sets of this year. Some notable mechanics are the reintroduction of C'Thun, turning "Can't be targeted by spells or Hero Powers" into a proper keyword, the addition of a brand new Lackey and much much more!

With the release of Dawn of Desolation each player will receive a brand new class Legendary and their own personal copies of C'Thun, Beckoner of Evil, and Twin Emperor Vek'lor! (The Twin Emperor will only remain until the release of the next expansion)

You can find all of the cards, with descriptions and flavor text, in this Google Slides presentation.

Dawn of Desolation - A custom Hearthstone expansion

(A revised Imgur album will be up soon for those who don't want to see anything extra)

Many cards have been altered with a few having been changed entirely, the presentation also has a much nicer look to it. Although the revision went over all of the mistakes I noticed I'd love to know if I missed anything.

I've been working on this bad boy since right before the reveal of Saviors of Uldum, the designs were pretty much finished before the reveal of Descent of Dragons. But after seeing the power level of Descent I adjusted my own set's strength.

Once again, thanks for checking out my expansion!

Actually unannounced change, but you can now reroll cards with evolve/devolve if there isn't a possible minion with lower/bigger mana cost. I actually tweeted about this few "weeks" ago and recommended it how it should work. //Thx Hijo_hs for finding it//
