Don’t forget to start an arena game for a free arena token and pack

    Posted: 07 Dec 2019 07:29 AM PST

Since the arena coming on the 10th has a different pool of cards, if you start a match now and get up to 2 losses then when your run is closed on the 10th since it uses illegal cards you get an arena token to compensate you and whatever rewards you would have gotten at your current win amount.

    Easy pack

I’m at 1hp against a mage with all frozen minions and in fatigue. He has an annueth in play. Zephyrs offer no healing. If he offers weapon removal he should not offer a taunt. He should not offer removal if I die to the opponents ping.

So are Murlocs food? Murloc Tastyfin. Tasty Flyfish...What's next?

    Posted: 07 Dec 2019 08:24 AM PST

I feel like Blizzard is trying to indoctrinate the community into associating Murlocs as food. I think this is highly unfair to Murlocs. They're proud, sentient beings who probably have twice the intelligence of your average Dolphin. They have hopes and dreams, and ambitions. Communities. They're not just food.

Instead of trying to shoe horn Murlocs into being food, I vote it be dragons instead. Look at the Big ol' Whelp. Look at how C H O N K Y that boi is. THAT'S a tasty meal. That's like a Thanksgiving meal right there. There's the Azure explorer. Azure drakes, Cobolt Scalebanes. Nine times out of ten, these dragons are thicc.

Why push scrawny Murlocs as food when you have dragons? Blizzard, stop this. Not for us, but for the gnomes.

"The only good non-human is a dead non-human". It's a shame that they didn't add Garithos to the new deck archetype that fits him the most, so here's what he could have been.

In theory, turn 5 - 70/70 Edwin Van Cleef (77/77 on board stats) is possible next expansion

    Posted: 07 Dec 2019 03:50 AM PST

Expanded on a post on the competitiveHS reddit. Anything below the first 4 lines is purely my shitpost.

    -----

    • Turn 1 - Pharaoh Cat
    • Turn 2 - Praise Galakrond, Lackey
    • Turn 3 - Seal Fate
    • Turn 4 - Umbral Skulker, Coin Coin Coin, Edwin = 10/10 Edwin +3/3 Skulker

Pretty strong 2 card combo that gives a 13/13 stat line on board

    ----

    BUT WAIT!!!!

Turn 4 with Shadow, Shadow, Skulker or Turn 4 with Shadow, Skulker, Skulker

    • Umbral Skulker, Shadowstep ( Zero Mana left)
    • Play 2 coins, Umbral Skulker again (4 coins in hand), Shadowstep (Zero Mana left)
    • Play 2 coins, Umbral Skulker (5 coins in hand) again (Zero Mana left)
    • Play 5 coins, 30/30 Edwin

*Combo also works with 1x Shadowstep + 2x Umbral Skulker in hand

    Basic Theory

    • Skulker-Coin-Coin-Coin-Edwin = 2 card 3/3 + 10/10 combo combo
    • Every shadowstep = Shadow, Skulker, Coin, Coin, Coin = +10/+10
    • Every Waggle pick hit = Skulker, Coin, Coin, Coin = +8/+8
    • Special condition: As long as you have 1 shadowstep, 2nd Skulker becomes active for +8/+8

    ----------

    SO LET'S GO FURTHER!!!

    • Turn 5 with Shadow, Shadow, Skulker, Skulker and Wagglepick used on T4
    • Start 5 mana --- Umbral 1 U, C, C, C (+8/+8) - 4 mana left
    • Pick Trigger
    • U, C, C, C, Shadowstep 1 (+10/+10) - 5 mana left
    • U, C, C, C, Shadowstep 2 (+10/+10) - 6 mana left
    • U, C, C, C (+8/+8) - 7 mana left
    • Umbral 2 U, C, C, C (+8/+8) - 6 mana left
    • 46/46 Edwin, for 52/52 stat line + dagger up

    -------

BUT LOOK! you have 1x Lackey and 3 mana left!!!!

    Follow up Lackey + 1 cost + 1 drop (2nd Cat) / Coin

    • Potential 52/52 Edwin Van Cleef for 58/58 statline, no dagger

    Special Condition 1

    • Lackey Discovers Shadowstep (+10/+10) - (+2/+2) = +8/+8 (replaces 1 cost in Follow up above)

    Special Condition 2

    • Lackey on Turn 2 also discovers Shadowstep = +10/+10
    • 70/70 Edwin or 77/77 from hand stat line, no dagger
    • 1/3 chance of deadly shot, emote, concede
    • If you went 2nd and get an extra card + coin, you get even bigger but feel free to correct my math if you want to spend the time fellow shitposters.

    Hearthstone Trivia #5

    Posted: 07 Dec 2019 05:39 AM PST

Every collectible card in Hearthstone has a unique combination of mana cost, stats, card text, and tribal tag. There are only 2 exceptions to this (4 cards total). Can you name the 2 pairs of "duplicate" cards?

Credit to u/irenepanik for help on this one.

Update: Correct answer is Innervate/Counterfeit Coin and Arcane Shot/Holy Smite

Winners are u/Eirh and u/ufeseros! Congrats!
