    YSK that the best response to BM roping is a game theory tactic called "Tit for Tat"

    Tit for tat means "equivalent retaliation."

    I once read an article about researchers attempting to find the optimal strategy for some wargame and they tried a bunch of different things but in the end the most effective method was good old tit for tat. For a large number of competitive situations, it's the optimal solution.

    Anyway, I hate people who rope queue for no other reason than to be rude or waste my time in exchange for some paltry amount of XP. Typically, I just ignore them and play normally. But a few weeks back I decided to give tit for tat a try, and it works great!

    If they play normally, I play normally. If they finish their turn (use all their mana, run out of cards, etc.) and decide to still rope, I do the same right back to them. 75% of the time that stops it right there. Sometimes, after a few normal turns, they will go back to roping again, and then so will I, and then it will go back to normal. Of course, there are still the occasional people that don't give a damn or just really want that XP and will do it regardless, but overall I've determined it's the best way to go.

    Just wanted to share.
