    Newbie Tuesdays Weekly Discussion

    Posted: 09 Aug 2021 09:01 PM PDT

Hello members of the /r/hearthstone community,

This is part of a series of weekly threads aimed at both new and old players from the community. It is designed so that everybody may ask any and all questions regarding the game's mechanics, decks, strategies and more.

Please keep it clean and try to add more than just a one or two word response. As the goal of this post is to increase the community's knowledge, the thought process matters as much as the answer! There is also a PullsDay Thursday weekly post, for those who want to share their pulled packs.

Unpopular opinion: this shadow priest thing is way more fun and cool than random-based no win con control priest and I would like to see shadow priest replace it

    Posted: 10 Aug 2021 07:55 AM PDT

This shadow priest is so much more interesting, has win conditions, has fun meme cards, and is an aggro deck. Control priest would just random the game and hope they get a win con. Control priest creates a frustrating meta that is not skill based but luck based. So let's hope they ditch control priest and make it the shadow spell class

What deck isn't all that hard to beat but is so stressful / unfun to play against for you? Mine is Secret Mage. I've never, ever, ever enjoyed playing, losing against, or beating a secret mage. Once.

Every other Quest deck on Turn 5: "GOD I finally finished the quest and can end this game already". Quest Warrior on Turn 5: " Just three more turns of playing pirates perfectly on curve and I'll finally get to play a 7/7 and then wait another turn for a bunch of random stuff to happen!"

    Posted: 10 Aug 2021 01:18 AM PDT

And some day I'll finally make it those three turns and see how the quest turns out.
