If you play Kurtrus and play Skull of Gul'dan he exclaims, "Warlocks, all the same." This is a reference to how warlocks only have one deck that is viable this expansion.

Tempo Storm Wild Hearthstone Meta Snapshot #82 - May 10, 2021

    Posted: 10 May 2021 10:59 AM PDT

Hey friends! This is the latest Tempo Storm Wild Hearthstone Meta Snapshot.

We are the team that produces this Snapshot. I'm therottedzombie, Team Lead, and this product was written by myself along with ConcernedMOM, KeithNumbersCCG, Memnarch, nhlnjfan1, and WhiteDelight. As always, we were aided along by our amazing Tempo Storm manager, SeijiSoldier

If you have any questions or comments about the report please let us know. We will be in the comments to answer any questions you may have, and we look forward to positive discussion about the choices in this Snapshot.

HOW TO USE THE META SNAPSHOT

The tier list (included below for easy access and distribution) shows the best decks to play in Ranked mode to maximize the chances of winning the game and climbing the ladder. Click on the name of the archetype in each tier to expand more details about the deck.

The "Archetype Explanation" section gives a general explanation of the archetype as a whole. It will present playstyle strategies, discuss different variants of the deck, and help you identify the deck on ladder.

The "Weekly Meta and Featured Deck" section analyzes the role of the deck in the current snapshot's meta, and focuses in on the nuances of playing the current snapshot's featured deck variant.

The "Tech Decision" section suggests card substitution options that you may consider if you are frequently facing a particular type of deck on ladder (i.e., you are being swarmed by aggro, or constantly queue into control decks).

The "Match-ups" section gives an approximate average percentage chance that you will win a game when facing another Tier 1 or Tier 2 deck.

Click on the "View Deck" button to view in-depth information about the deck, such as the card composition, mana curve, mulligans, and more. The date in the title of the deck is the date on which that variant of the deck was first posted on the Meta Snapshot. If the construction of a deck has not changed since then, the deck may be reused in a future Snapshot. Make sure to scroll down to read the latest discussion on the deck's current role in the meta.

Here's hoping for a healthy dose of nerfing to First Day of School in the upcoming balance patch. No class should have two very strong 1-drops from another class each on turn 1, all from a zero mana card.

Buying Wild Packs for Guaranteed Legendary?

    Posted: 10 May 2021 11:10 AM PDT

Started playing Hearthstone about 2 months ago. I love the game, probably put over 100+ hours into it already (almost max Tavern Pass; level 97).

I got fairly lucky with my packs; managed to get a 100% complete Secret/Agro Paladin cards/deck; nearly complete Face Hunter (missing Rinling's Rifle) and nearly complete No Minion Mage (missing 4 Epics).

Anyways, I am wondering what makes more sense. I already have the majority of Standard common and rare cards so buying packs for those expensions just nets me a little dust and hope that I get a Legendary or Epic that I need.

I was wondering if it makes sense to start buying Wild packs 1 at a time with gold. To get a guaranteed Legendary in the first 10 packs.

Since I don't have enough cards to really play Wild anyways I can dust it if its a crappy or keep it if its really good for later on, when I have enough cards to play Wild.

Does this make sense!? Also I am assuming the guaranteed Legendary in first 10 applies to Wild packs as well right!?

We get it boars are op

    Posted: 09 May 2021 11:03 PM PDT

The battlegrounds posts with just a picture of how big your minions are should stop. We get it, boars are op, but having hundreds of posts with just 'look i even went afk for the last few turns' or whenever someone wins with another tribe 'and they said boars are op' and a picture attached with a weak lobby is just pointless

Since Blizzard has shown us with Battlegrounds that Hearthstone can handle 8 players in a lobby, I think it’s time reintroduce this 2V2 fan concept.

Some solo adventures completely bugged and broken

    Posted: 10 May 2021 08:33 AM PDT

Lich King, if you sticky finger his weapon and doomsayer his board, he is now permanently immune and stops playing cards. There is no way to win the game from here.

Kham - Will now happily stay in stealth forever and stop swinging and playing cards untill you die to fatigue. It seems the logic for him to use his weapon swings every turn is broken now. If he doesnt swing every turn there is no way to win the game.

These are the ones I found but there is surely more unintended ones. But thats more a balance issue and not straight up bugs: Such as the totem summoner boss - she will now summon all the new totems with an extremely high probability, and that will kill anyone who doesnt have robes of gaudiness.
