Streamer Sundays Weekly Discussion Posted: 21 Mar 2020 05:11 PM PDT Do you enjoy watching streamers? Do you wish there was an easier way to find new up-and-coming streamers beyond the well-known, established Twitch goliaths? Do you have a stream yourself? Are you looking to get exposure but not sure how given how Twitch displays streams and how one-shot stream promotion posts on Reddit tend to get ignored? Is anyone still reading these questions? This thread is for you! If you are a streamer or know of a cool, lesser-known (read: doesn't regularly pull in 1K+ viewers) streamer feel free to post the URL and a short, informative pitch about why you feel others would be interested to watch it. Why should someone watch your suggested stream rather than one of the hundreds of other streams out there? The next great streamer might be just one comment away. Enjoy! Note: I am a bot. Posted: 21 Mar 2020 08:29 AM PDT The following is a recent quote from Ben Lee, the Hearthstone Game Director. Sharing because I have not seen much discussion about it. "Generally, we don't particularly want players to disenchant their cards," says Lee. "That's a bit of a new mentality for us, especially when you think about things like achievements in the future, and game modes potentially linking to older parts of your collection. If you're destroying your cards, you're kind of harming yourself [in relation to] future things that we're planning. So, we want people to open their cards, feel good about them, and keep them." In this season of quarentine/aisolation, Blizz could give us more "Challenge a Friend" quests. Posted: 21 Mar 2020 06:45 AM PDT This last few days I stayed home, I've been seeing, talking and playing with more "friends". I feel having more of this co-op quests would bring us a little closer to the people we play with. Edit: Jokes aside, I'm talking about game "Friends", not actual real life friends... (none of my friends play this game btw) [link] [comments] | ||

Explicit Hall-of-Fame Dust Math Posted: 20 Mar 2020 11:32 PM PDT TLDR; If you already have the maximum playable amount (2 for commons/rares/epics, 1 for legendaries) of the card(s) in any combination of golden or regular versions, don't craft any additional copies of any version, except commons (attempt to craft 2 golden copies). If you don't have the full playable amount for any card going to hall-of-fame, craft all missing cards above all else (with legendaries first), golden versions if you can afford it.
-Cards this time around (March 26, 2020)-Commons: Acolyte of Pain, Spellbreaker Rares: Auchenai Soulpriest, Holy Fire, Mind Control Tech Epics: Shadowform, Mountain Giant Legendaries: Prophet Velen, Leeroy Jenkins
-Explanation-When a card is hall-of-famed, you get a full dust refund for 2 copies (or 1 copy if legendary) of the card. It will give you dust for any golden versions you have before it'll give you dust for regular versions. You get to keep all cards that are hall-of-famed. Quick Examples: Say you have 2 Regular Spellbreaker, which is a common card. You will be given 80 dust when hall-of-fame happens, 40 dust for each copy. Say you have 1 Golden Spellbreaker and 2 Regular Spellbreaker. You will be given 440 dust, 400 dust for the golden and 40 dust for the regular. Say you have 2 Golden Spellbreaker and 2 Regular Spellbreaker. You will be given 800 dust, 400 dust for each golden. Say you have 1 Leeroy Jenkins. You will get 1600 dust for the regular copy. Say you have 1 Golden Leeroy Jenkins and 1 Regular copy. You will get 3200 dust for the golden copy.
-Math-Assumptions: -You will dust every single card you have being sent to hall-of-fame once it is rotated to hall-of-fame. This just helps make the value objective rather than "I value owning an all golden deck above dust", or "I want to keep the regular versions but not golden", etc. (Note: If you would like the dust values when keeping regular versions of cards, simply remove the line that says Disenchant Regulars and recalcuate. The conclusions are the same) -Cards that are already owned are not considered in the equation as a cost because they may have been acquired for no dust cost. -Already owning gold copies is not considered because crafting the regular copies is pointless for math purposes (we assume all is disenchanted at the end anyway) -This is meant to represent the explicit amount of dust one will have gained. Opportunity costs (such as not getting the hall-of-fame for regular copies when golden copies are crafted) are not considered.
